CAD Technician, Hybrid/London
up to £38,000/Travel paid

This CAD Technician role will be working for a growing, fully integrated building services provider, operating in the commercial field, both Cat A & Cat B, supporting the Buildings Mechanical Designer by creating and modifying detailed technical drawings using your CAD Technician skills, and well rounded knowledge of mechanical building services systems, such as HVAC, plumbing, fire protection and lifts.

Genuinely committed to their employees, they are happy for this CAD Technician to work on a hybrid basis, attending the central London office to collaborate with the lead Designer for 2 to 3 days per week - travel cost assisted - and work from home for the remainder. Progression is guaranteed as the company continues to expand.

As a proficient CAD Technician, you will have an understanding of the basic principles of mechanical design for buildings to cover the entire range of design, installation and maintenance of HVAC, plumbing and fire protection systems, working on historic listed buildings through to new builds.

Projects you will work on will be in commercial, retail, residential and hospitality covering interesting remits such as creation of high end cocktail bars through to new church buildings, providing fully fitted-out spaces with new MEP systems, down to innovative tea points.

You will be able to:

· Create detailed technical drawings based on project specifications

· Modify drawings and layouts as required

· Have an understanding and ensure compliance with UK industry standards and regulations

· Ensure the correct level and accuracy of technical content on all projects.

You will have:

· Knowledge of AutoCAD gained through qualification and/or experience.

· Building Services experience, specifically mechanical aspects

· Self-motivation, attention to detail and capacity to work to deadlines and timescales.

Test Technician, Brighton
up to £30,000

Working for a company in a niche sector of the engineering market, this Test Technician will prepare and test converted forklift trucks to ensure conformance to required standards and legislation, reporting test results and advisingas needed.

Previous experience of working in a truck testing role and a forklift truck license are key, as well as attention to detail and the ability to problem-solve.

Basic IT skills specifically Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook along with good communication will also be needed.

Maintenance Electrician , Oxon
up to £55,000

Qualifications:

Electrical Technician, Brighton
up to £31,000

This Electrical Technician will join a highly skilled and results-focused team, undertaking electrical and diesel forklift truck conversions as well as producing oil and gas engine packages.

You will have demonstrable experience within a bespoke or low volume electrical role, sound knowledge of panel or automotive electrical wiring, as well as an ability to read and understand technical drawings and processes. Awareness of quality assurance and experience of Zone 1 and Zone 2 conversions is desirable but not crucial.

Electrical Engineer, Brighton area
up to £45,000

This Electrical Design Engineer will be working as part of a highly skilled engineering team involved in the conversion of industrial materials handling equipment, for the detection of gas and explosives in hazardous areas, ensuring compliance to ATEX, Ex and IEC Ex.

You will be hands on, designing solutions for alternative components such as Ex certified primary traction batteries, to be integrated into vehicles, taking into account extreme space constraint limitations, ensuring integration into original machine electrical systems, specifying fuses, selecting cables, understanding signal and power cables and their applications.


As an Electrical Applications Engineer, you will also be responsible for project specification documents, drawings in AutoCAD, defining electrical enclosure layouts and population, specifying product test requirements and producing product risk assessments and paperwork to support certification.

Requirements:

  • Experienced as an industrial electrical engineer - ideally automotive or industrial vehicles
  • Design of electrical systems using AutoCAD, defining enclosure layouts
  • Specify test requirements

Ideally, you’ll have a broad knowledge of electrical and electronic control systems, e.g., industrial controllers, PLC’s, AC inverters, experience of working in a highly regulated environment and a background in fault finding complex electrical systems.

Education to HND or Degree level in a relevant subject is required.

Junior Project Manager, Hybrid/South East
up to £50,000/Travel paid

This is a great opportunity for someone to progress their career within building services, to be a Junior Project Manager, working for a building services provider who specialise in Mechanical installation / services for Cat A and Cat B high end projects, such as cocktail bars and new churches.

You may currently be a Site Manager or Supervisor looking to step up to Junior Project Manager, looking for something exciting that will challenge you, whilst allowing you to learn and develop from highly experienced professionals, who genuinely value and trust their people.

It is crucial that you can read and understand mechanical drawings and specifications, with knowledge and familiarity with all mechanical systems such as:

  • Chilled and heating systems (and different types of mechanical pipework installations)
  • VRF / Refrigerant systems
  • Ventilation systems
  • Domestic systems
  • Leak detection systems
  • Water treatment, flushing and commissioning
  • BMS (Building Management Systems)

You will be responsible for managing multiple different mechanical trades across 2-3 projects, with the following responsibilities:

Field Service Engineer, Midlands
up to £35,000

As a forklift Field Service Engineer, you will have demonstrable experience in maintaining and repairing forklift trucks or other materials handling equipment, for a company who provide explosion protection solutions for industrial vehicles and diesel engines.

Based in the Midlands where the majority of customers are, but with occasional trips further afield, which may require overnight stays, as the Field Service Engineer, you will provide intervention support of specialist conversions, including breakdowns, warranty support, installations, and safety inspections and audits, using your ability to read wiring diagrams and write basic reports.

In addition to having relevant experience of forklift or other materials handling equipment maintenance and repairs, you will have excellent interpersonal, communication and customer service skills, and have a proactive, flexible, and enthusiastic approach.

A desire to learn and be successful is imperative and you must be able to work independently of others.

Good IT skills with proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook is required and experience of using CRM/ERP systems and Microsoft PowerPoint would be advantageous.

Junior Electrical Design Engineer, Reading
up to £28,000

This Junior Electrical Design Engineer will be joining a small company operating in a niche market of control and instrumentation systems, supplying bespoke motor and instrumentation control products to clients who operate primarily in the renewables sector, but also providing products for buildings and production lines.

Educated to at least HND in a relevant subject, as Junior Electrical Designer Engineer, you will report to the Senior Design Engineer, covering a wide range of duties, including:

  • Taking clients requirements by telephone and email
  • Estimating costs for designing and development
  • Use your problem solving skills to provide solutions within designs
  • Using Solidworks to draw electrical circuits to go to the manufacturing team
  • Liaise with clients, keeping them updated of progress and changes
  • Assist the workshop with redesigns as necessary
  • Work with suppliers for supply of products

Manufacturing Support Engineer, Plymouth
up to £40,000

This Manufacturing Support Engineer is to work in a support capacity, liaising closely with design, manufacturing, internal sales and purchasing to provide knowledge of electrically biased, electro-mechanical engineering to help troubleshoot, design, modify and provide technical support of flameproof and safety equipment used in hazardous environments.

A varied role, requiring someone with a skill set covering PCB boards through to electrical test equipment, ideally encompassing CAD design skills and new product testing, you will be the "go to" person for helping understand problems and finding solutions for manufacturing and customer requirements.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist in the design and manufacturing of small electro-mechanical products.
  • Shopfloor support for the assembly and test of products.

  • Technical qualification of HNC or above
